Privacy Policy
The World Robot Summit is sponsored by the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization(NEDO) who has entrusted the operational assignment to Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun who will be running the organizing bureau. The responsibility to manage all personal information in accordance with the respective laws and regulation rests with the World Robot Summit Organization Bureau(“We”). １． Managing Information
- We will strictly manage the WRS VIRTUAL (“the Website”) and implement necessary measures to prevent risks including loss, damage, falsification,
leakage or unauthorized access to the user information. If in any case such incident occurs, we will swiftly implement corrective measures.
２． Collecting User Information
●We will be collecting the following personal information on the Website.
- Information provided by the user(mandatory)
The user is asked to provide their name and email address for using the Website.
- Information provided by the user(voluntary)
Those who wish to participate in WRS through the virtual venue, the Aichi or the Fukushima venue
are asked to register the information on their business cards. In line with the COVID measures, those
who participate via the Aichi or the Fukushima venue are asked to provide their emergency contact
details upon entry.
- Collecting information when using the Website
We may use tools such as Cookie to track users to collect information about their usage of the
Website.
We may also collect information about the user’s IP address, browser details, and other access log as
well as the device used to access the Website.
３． What we do with the Information Collected
●The information we collect on the Website is for the following purpose:
- Information provided by the user(mandatory)
・For users to smoothly use the Website
・For WRS operational tasks such as sending information about the Website to users and
handling user enquires
・For analysis/identification to improve/enhance the service provided by WRS and the Sponsor as well as
for new development.
・To provide information pertaining to WRS
・To compile the information as an anonymous statistic to publicize or update the Website
・To compile the partially modified information which has been rendered anonymous to introduce
the services provided by the Sponsor
- Information provided by the user upon registration (online venue)
Only with the user consent (ex/ when user clicks ‘exchange business card’ button), the personal information registered will be provided to the Exhibitors which they may use to share information about their product/service, seminar, etc. Please note that the user is responsible for directly engaging the Exhibitor to request suspension of usage, deletion, correction, or disclosure of their personal data. We may use the part of the data which has rendered anonymous for reporting and data analysis purposes.
- Information provided by the user upon entry(Aichi / Fukushima)
With the user’s consent, the personal identification code issued upon entry which contains the entry pass may be used by the Exhibitor, etc. at the venue to provide information in the future. In such instance, the subject personal data will be provided to the Exhibitor through Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun. Such personal data will be handled responsibly in accordance with the privacy policy prescribed by the Exhibitor.
Also, when a user registers to view or participate in programs jointly organized with other groups and businesses(“Co-organizer) such as “Stage Program” and “Experiential Program/Demonstration,” the registered data may be provided to said Co-organizer through Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun. Such personal data will be handled responsibly in accordance with the privacy policy prescribed by the Co-organizer.
For the parallel event(ROBOICHI,Japan Robot Week in Aichi), as mentioned above, the personal data may be provided by Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun to the Co-organizer or Exhibitor as Exhibitors at the venue may scan the barcode for future information delivery, etc. Such personal data will be handled responsibly in accordance with the privacy policy prescribed by the Exhibitor/Co-organizer.
After the Summit, we may send DM and/or email with questionnaires or information related to the World Robot Summit to the registered details.
４． Confirming, changing, deleting, etc. of the information
- You can confirm/change your registered information when you log on to the Website with your email address and password. You can also delete your account at any time. Please contact (info-virtual@worldrobotsummit.org) if you wish to delete your account.
- However, please note that it may take some time for your registered information to be completely deleted.
５． Using Third-Party Information Collection Module
- We may use module including information collection module provided by a company other than Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun to conduct analysis of the Website usage, run targeting advertising, measure ad performance, etc.
